Narrated from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

إِنَّ أَهْلَ الجَنَّةِ يَتَرَاءَوْنَ أَهْلَ الغُرَفِ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ ، كَمَا يَتَرَاءَوْنَ الكَوْكَبَ الدُّرِّيَّ الغَابِرَ فِي الأُفُقِ ، مِنَ المَشْرِقِ أَوِ المَغْرِبِ ، لِتَفَاضُلِ مَا بَيْنَهُمْ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، تِلْكَ مَنَازِلُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ لاَ يَبْلُغُهَا غَيْرُهُمْ، قَالَ: (بَلَى ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، رِجَالٌ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَصَدَّقُوا المُرْسَلِينَ

“The people of Paradise will see the people of the highest place in Paradise above them as you see a brilliant star far away on the horizon in the east or the west, because of the difference in status between them.” They said: O Messenger of Allah, is that the status of the Prophets that no one else will attain? He said: “No, by the One in Whose hand is my soul. They are men who believed in Allah and believed in the Messengers.”

***** NO GOSSIP MONGER WILL ENTER PARADISE The motive in spreading gossip is either ill will towards the person of whom one speaks or to show love to the person to whom one speaks, or to indulge in unnecessary talk and falsehood. All of that is haraam. There is a great deal of evidence in the Quran and Sunnah (prophetic traditions) to show that gossip is haraam (impermissible), such as the verses in which Allah says: وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَّهِينٍ هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّاءٍ بِنَمِيمٍ “And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer.
